Viva Piñata is cool.
All and every Lego game is a hit with my 5 year old son.
If he likes racing games, there's Cars 2.
My lad has a crazy love of Terraria as well.
Hope it helps!

Excellent, thanks for those. I'll see what I can pick up pre-owned.

I don't think so, he may have nightmares.....
Heheh.

Between your list and Bruvas' you have all the major kids' titles from what I can see. If you can though, I'd be getting him a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Red/Blue. Let him learn the ways of old and get him started right on Pokemon. :D

Thanks, up until a few years ago I still had my monochrome Gameboy with Tetris, Double Dragon and a few other games. That thing got lots of play as a kid. I think I got rid of it as the screen had finally stopped working properly.

Took a war zone to kill those things. My first Gameboy was an old red Pocket. They still had the black and white screen but the screen was larger and the Gameboy itself was much thinner.

Lego games all the way. My eldest boy cannot get enough of them! At that age they love the customisation, I used to let my boy customise my character on COD AW for ages.

Also does the 360 have Gold Rewards? I've downloaded a bunch of games for free that are suitable.

He hasn't really taken to Lego games which is strange as he loves building Lego. His older brother got The Lego Movie game so might get him to try that.

Yep it's got Gold, I share mine with it.

1. Borderlands wasn't a serious suggestion.
2. There are kids playing CoD and Borderlands is a cartoon compared to that.

The release of Modern Warfare 2 will always stick in my mind.

Tesco at midnight. There's a group of about 30 folk waiting for the midnight launch. When it hits, some poor little lady is spotted wheeling the games down the aisle.
All of a sudden, folk lose their shit and charge at her, pushing her from pillar to post trying to be the first to get the game - I've never been so embarrassed to call myself a gamer in my life.
After the rush, me and my mates pick up a copy and head to the tills, just in time to see about 7 lads (who were among the most guilty for the rush) have their MW2 games taken off them as they never had ID proving the were 18. Fucking karma, and thank god there's at least one shop in the UK that notices and adheres to the age restriction on games!
